Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles, I must have been to Singapore at least 40 times, I luv the place, read the history of Singapore it is a great read for historians, went to Raffles hotel in 1979 and Bugis Street, now touring anywhere is a bit sedate everything is so homogenised bit like A2 milk.
