I leave the wicks on and include them in trendline plots and FIBs etc. but I really started that 'cause it caused arguments when I didn't - after being very strict in my early days about lines of resistance/support/trends etc. I now treat them as flexible, like a rubber band and I don't particularly mind if I chop through some wicks when drawing plots.
I discovered that Wyckoff was of a similar mind, that was good enough for me.
