Well if your bid in pre market is $3.50 and the stock opens higher you will miss out. Same for the closing auction if you bid at $4.02 and the match ends up being $4.03 you miss out again. Your program should show the match price during that 10 minutes from 4-4:10 but it's a juggle. You could put a higher bid in and you will get it that way but then if the price was pushed up you would also pay more. Does that make sense?
