    @Lambrae with absolutely no dis respect intended there is not and never has been any shortage of sanitiser.

    The only contention has ever been the "natural component". With all due respect alcohol while being potentially harmful is also naturally occurring. Panic buying created the lack of supply. The lack of supply was met by a plethora of company's supplying product to meet demand. Now we have an over supply of product resulting in discounted pricing to clear the shelves of over supply.

    Go back a few years and the same thing happened with another natural commodity. Wool. Anyone with a few years under the belt under the belt understands what happened there..

    Same thing happened with grain, shortage followed by massive oversupply and bulk storage supported by government funds.
    "Taxes"

    I have and will always make my own sanitiser from products that are are readily available and normally in everyday use in my household.
