Thanks for the advice mycymbal. I would feel a little more comfortable with Short Term trades over day trading to begin with (unless I can generate the theoritical returns that SF@HC speaks of).
I am thinking as a strategy to use short term trades to generate capital to then be divided between longer-term holdings (such as index funds and large cap stocks) and reinvested into short term trades to capitalise on the compounding effect whilst aiming to mitigate some risk.
How much does a typical trader start with? is 10k sufficient or would I need nearer to 50k?
