A few thoughts about volume .
Volume by itself is not always a predictable indicator , unless you have volume in the right position on the chart .
Many shares start a rise on little volume , and the rise ends up still being sustained . When there is low volume , at the beginning of a genuine rise - it is because the share has been pushed down into oversold , and the sellers have primarily dried up at a higher share price. The seller would have stacked the sell side , and later discretely or obviously pulled the sell side . He/she would have been triggering stop losses at the low levels . He still needs to take the share price down to these levels in order to prepare the chart for a rise . He is pulling it down into extremely oversold until it becomes bullish. Before there is a massive rise, we see blood - in relation to the share price - but there is not always volume to accompany the plunge. And there will not always be volume on the rise . -especially where the Stock is illiquid at these levels. Sometimes the sellers all jumped ont the plunge . . Not everyone on here, will be basing their calls on volume . Sometimes , by the time the volume arrives , the purchase of the share is in a riskier position . Depending on the location on the chart - the volume is sometimes the trigger signal that the market maker creates. The day traders see the volume signal and then buy as the market maker distributes . There is more going on in the market than just daytrader pumping . There are shakeouts in every time frame . Volume can be accumulation , but it can also be the move into distribution .
Just a few thoughts - take it or leave it . Why does every afternoon feel like Friday ?

I think it is good to be trading in these market conditions - even if you just use a tiny amount . Use an amount that you can afford to loose . If you can't afford to loose any , then this is not a recommendation for you . You will change your bad trading habits a lot quicker under these conditions . That change is valuable . But if you are in the market - study hard . This is a time for growth .
