Your wins have to be around twice the size of your losses just to get back to where you were . The market is designed to take traders down. So you have got to minimize losses , and let your runners run. Both require enormous skill .
I have been giving back my wins these past few weeks , and then getting them back again - but you have to do more than just get the same percentage back , you have to get perhaps double back to increase your holding. The maths works against us. If you share is $1 , and you loose 50% , to give you 50c. You have to make back a 100% rise , just to get back to where you started . Ofcourse if you can increase the size of your holding , that percentage changes . Anyway , I've been giving back my gains , and then getting them back again , but I am happy that I am learning from my mistakes. They are not even mistakes - they are skills that I haven't got yet , but I am seeing things I didn't see before , and that is possibly worth more than the money .
