I'm not gonna recommend making unsecured loans, but. In the same way that they suddenly realised that 'junk bonds' were actually safer investments than 'proper bonds' the speccy end is probably safer than so called blue chips. I reckon more of the blueys have gone belly up over the past few years and I have never lost on one of these specs from a wipeout. Closest call was Onetel that I had a fair bit in. Actually got saved there by a post on HC that alerted me in time to sell out. Literally by minutes.

ERG was another bad one.
