Thank you
@rick64 and
@Veritas2000 for your kind words
And congrats Rick for overcoming such an obstacle... I can truly identify with the drinking problem... You must be so proud not to have had one in 10 months... truly amazing stuff !!
I had the same problem for many years and has been the SOLE cause of relationship breakups, lost jobs, senseless brawls ending up behind bars on numerous occasions, and now a contributing factor to my ill health
I have however, been truly blessed recently and somehow, through the Grace of God, I managed to get my partner to Australia JUST before Covid hit... Now I count my blessings everyday as there are too many couples separated by boarders and the stories are sooo heartbreaking...
Not having my Partner of 15 years here with me here in Australia made me a broken man, and I drowned my sorrows with Alcohol every day and night, and then when I woke up... For years we planned on building a life together here in Australia, however due to financial reasons (Partner Visa's are so expensive!!!) and other reasons, it was difficult to achieve this goal... It would also have been pointless coming here if I was a Bum and we had to live in a caravan park or the like... (just as an example)
I have since made EVERY effort to get my life back on track, with employment, in a beautiful new Townhouse (albeit rented), the cars (albeit not new) and a nice little savings account to get started (albeit probably what some of you guys make in a day)...
But now that I have beaten the odds of FINALLY getting my partner into Australia (the process is grueling with little chance of success), I wake up with a smile on my face every morning, thank God for His divine intervention, and then jump straight on HC whilst being made brekky and a cuppa (jokes)
Purpose in life is now a driving factor in my pursuit of success, and I know that success can not happen overnight, and as V said "you are already on the path to a successful trading journey and that is because you know that
knowledge is power" .. and he is right...
"Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family". Kofi Annan ...
I just hope that if other new traders are reading this, that they take a step back first and not jump straight into the deep end... Learn to swim before attempting the deep end of the pool...
When I was learning to fly (small single engine Piper Warriors), I would NOT dare jump straight into the cockpit of a Boeing 747... Without the knowledge or experience, it would be downright dangerous...
It is with this that I have been soaking up as much as I can on this forum, learning from some of the best...putting into practice what I have learnt and continue learning ... It's a long journey ahead and still a lot to learn
- and this requires patience (and a lot of study) ...
And thank you
@rick64 for your very encouraging words "I think you are going to be one of the few that will go on to be a truly great trader". - I truly
hope trust that this become a reality
Purpose in Life + Motivation to Succeed + Patience in the acquisition of Knowledge = Success
Hope you have a wonderful week (and CNB treats you well) ...
