    I'll have a bit of a think about tassie wineries.
    You need to remember that the best ones are tiny. And may not have a cellar door.

    I actually just did the one hour trip to buy a Chatto Pinot. Jim Chatto was going to just send me one but he got evacuated and I need it for this Saturday.

    From what you've said previously I think you need to be targeting Riesling. Unless you like Pinot.
    Additionally, some times the best way to find wines in a new area is to just find a good restaurant and take the recommendation of the sommelier.

    I can name a couple in Hobart that I'd go straight to.
    Number one in my opinion for local wines is etties.

    It's a bar and a restaurant. Both are bloody good.

    Going on your own? Hard to sit down and work through a bottle if so.
    But etties do take away too.

    $30- $150 type wines.
