Yes but road toll and the flu is a priced-in event for the markets. Even though the overall mortality rate is low, this virus has no vaccine yet and is causing global supply chain and more importantly consumer spending decline which can push lots of countries into recession.

Also its the spread outside China now which is a big problem. Not every country can't handle the outbreak like China did.
