I have never used BTCmarkets but I believe they are ok, but sorry can't comment as never used them. If you want a similar one stop shop for trading and holding and on boarding fiat to crypto then MineDigital is the equivalent. extremely low fees, to zero fees as well...
There is a few options for storage of crypto too, hardware wallets where you can keep crypto personally off exchanges etc. Perhaps next weekend I can do a write up on that too... I think you'd find that interesting.
