I hope people managed their portfolio just as carefully as they would on any other day, regardless of how much milk powder they have in their pockets. I say this as there seems to be so many sad comments on what should be a day of celebration.
Always remember, if you have $100 in your bag and you lose 50% of it on a bad day....... in order to get that back, it's not a 50% gain is it!!! It's 100%. Remember this the next time you sit and watch a stock go down, risk reward, risk reward, tap out in 2016
My new years resolutions for trading
1. Better manage losses (Rule 1. Never lose money Rule 2. Never forget rule # 1.)
2. Minimize my risk, increase reward... cut back on trades, better manage alerts, better manage self control)
3. Look at what it is, not what I think it should be. (don't get too caught up in FA.... one of my fav quotes!)
Always do whatever's next... George Carlin Move on, understand what happened in the past but do not have an emotional attachment to it.
