Thanks afternoon crew.
End-of-day summary:
The share market fell for a third day after Wall Street was rattled by a soft start to a new earnings season and the threat of a widening conflict in the Middle East.
The ASX 200 finished 32 points or 0.41% lower at 7752.5. Rate-sensitive tech stocks led the retreat. Also notably weak were gold miners, telcos, small caps and speculative stocks.
The market's losses were limited by a rebound in US equity futures this session after Saturday's Iranian attack on Israel fell short of the market's worst fears when stocks plunged on Friday.
S&P 500 futures bounced 0.3% this afternoon, suggesting the benchmark may tonight recoup a portion of Friday's heavy 1.46% loss.
