Ultimately, a fairly flat day for the market in what is threatening to turn into a nothing week for the ASX 200. A 14-point mid-session rally faded to a close of +0.07% today, leaving the index up five points since Friday. Gains this session for the miners were offset by declines in pretty much everything else.
Some brutal falls today in some of the week's best spec runners. MTM -23.33%. OD6 -16.67%. ALA -17.28%. LRV -12.5%. Ouch.
US futures were negative at the Australian close following wild after-market trading in Netflix. The streaming service's shares plunged as much as 12% after reporting earnings before recovering all but 0.2%. S&P 500 futures were lately down 0.16%. Nasdaq futures down 0.27%.
