    Thanks afternoon crew.

    End-of-day summary:

Aussie shares advanced for a second day as bargain-hunters targeted sectors hit hardest during the last three weeks.

The ASX 200 rallied 34 points or 0.45% to 7684. Tech stocks, REITs, healthcare providers and banks all enjoyed a second day of gains after a rebound on Wall Street helped steady nerves. The Australian market has been under pressure since a record high at the start of the month, diving to a two-month low late last week.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite broke six-session losing runs overnight ahead of trading updates this week from some of the US's largest companies. The S&P 500 bounced 0.87%. The Nasdaq lifted 1.11%.
