Day traders' after-market lounge August 7

Thanks afternoon crew. CLA sure didn't play out as hoped. Apologies if anyone followed me in. I sold some at a loss, held a bit for the ASX "please explain", hopefully tomorrow.

End-of-day wrap:

Aussie shares closed at a two-week low following their third fall in four sessions.

The ASX 200 dropped 16 points or 0.22% to 7309. The heavyweight banks and miners provided most of the downward momentum following a fourth straight decline on Wall Street on Friday. Property companies, utilities and consumer stocks shielded the index from a deeper fall.

The market paid little heed to a rebound in US futures. S&P 500 futures firmed a promising 0.4% by the Australian close despite falls across much of Asia.
