Trading is not something that comes naturally, in my opinion and like any venture in which you intend to hopefully make money requires a degree of studying. I personally spent more than a year devouring all that I could from books, articles, the internet, etc exploring all options and culling those I did not find affinity with.
I still have a range of documents that I periodically return to.
I always ask people who are commencing their trading journey - "what do you do for a living" and then see that they undertook some form of formal training or degree - I then ask "what makes you think you can trade without doing any study" and it is almost a lightbulb moment for them...
Day trading in particular requires time and effort - it is a totally different beast to short term and long investing.
