Tonight's birthday drinks are on Billy Ocean, who turns 70 today. Billy was responsible for some of the Eighties' most irritating ear-worms, including "Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car" and "Caribbean Queen". We forgive him because he also wrote the day trader's anthem "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going". (Note he doesn't specify where they go. In my case it's often the pub. Sometimes a Bex and a lie down.)
He had a couple of minor hits in the Seventies, including this belter (even if it does steal a riff from The Four Tops).
