All things considered the DT crew had quite a good day out on a track that was downgraded to slow after the racing had begun. The all ords flew the barriers to be up 30 pts 10 minutes into the race before faltering and sputtering to a negative 27 point finish. A quick browse through the threads this afternoon reveal that quite a few successful bets were laid on some of this mornings tips and one (WCN) that was not tipped but kept under wraps before a big plunge was executed ,with a couple of punters making a good killing on it.
In the stewards room 2 stocks (CMD and MRR) received please explains with both using the Sgt Schultz proforma in response.
We had a nice size field of 60 fill the barriers this morning with a mixed bag of results with 25 finishing green ,26 in the red and 9 unchanged.
Sobar located one for a outstanding award and 4 for honorable mentions. The outstanding award and tip of the day goes to BRN opened .80 / top fluc .97 / closed .93.It came from the stables of @Brotown357 ,@michael325 and @Guaranteed Profits .Well done and maybe a 1st award for Michael?
    The honorable mentions go to CRR .046 /.053 /.049 from@Fiji1 and @wrighty64 ,RHT .155 /.175 /.175 from @RestlessHobo ,CDT .037 /.043 /.04 from @Sherb and @Ultra and lastly QXR .028 /.031 /.027 from multiple trainers in @Sherb ,@profitplease ,@Ultra and @swecare .nice doubles there to Sherb and Ultra well done.
Sobar was a bit worried about going to the well once too often with his best neddy NMT which has been in sizzling form. Things looked really bad when NMT completely blew the start and was tailing the field by 6 lengths soon after the start. However he steadied and ran on really well in the latter part of the race to finish up nicely on the day. While not in the awards group today NMT has pulled up well and will continue with his preparation. Sobar reckons he still has a lot of improvement left in him.
The BOOM! o'meter reading was a healthy 20 considering a poor All ords and we also had a Pop! and a Bang! thrown in by joyous punters. Sobar was highly amused by @Endless with his suggestion of excessive whip use fines for some of our punters flogging beaten horses.
As I write gold is up a couple of bucks and US futures are red but not a bloodbath and things have to have a breather sooner or later. Sobar is off to the tennis tomorrow so will do a report time permitting and will be late .Cheers Sobar
