The share market got back to winning ways after a tech-led rebound on Wall Street brought buyers back after three days of ASX selling.
The ASX 200 climbed 39 points or 0.5% to 7971. Tech companies, healthcare providers and industrials topped the leader-board. The index overcame weakness in resource stocks following declines in iron ore, crude, and industrial and precious metals.
US stocks rallied overnight as buyers targeted tech megacaps ahead of trading updates over the next few weeks. The S&P 500 firmed 1.08% and the Nasdaq 1.58%. The Q2 US earnings season hots up tonight with updates from Tesla and Google-owner Alphabet.
