    Thanks afternoon crew.

    End-of-day summary:

The share market started the week little changed ahead of central bank rate decisions and February job figures in the next few days.

Weak leads from Wall Street pulled the ASX 200 lower before a partial recovery as US futures rallied this afternoon. The Australian benchmark ended the session six points or 0.07% ahead after earlier losing as much as 28 points.

Property stocks dragged as treasury yields tested their highest levels in almost three weeks. Other weights included gold miners and spec stocks. South32 and the big four banks were the best of the heavyweights.

The Reserve Bank is due to update the market tomorrow on monetary policy, followed by the US Federal Reserve a day later.

The S&P 500 shed 0.65% on Friday as investors trimmed their holdings in the wake of signs earlier in the week that inflation may be becoming entrenched above the Fed's target range. Futures for the index climbed 0.25% this afternoon following broadly positive Chinese factory and investment figures.
