Thanks afternoon crew.
End-of-day summary:
Aussie shares sealed their best win run since June with a fifth advance as a global share rebound gathered pace.
The ASX 200 rallied 48 points or 0.68% to 7088, its strongest close in almost three weeks. Tech stocks, retailers and miners provided much of the momentum. All 11 sectors rose.
Bargain-hunters picked up some of the market's recent worst performers. Bega Cheese, Pexagroup and Afterpay owner Block were among the index's best performers after hitting 12-month lows last week.
Asian markets also rallied amid growing hopes that US interest rates may have peaked. The Asia Dow popped 1.1%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 1.44% and Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.72%.
Overnight, the S&P 500 climbed 0.52% to its fourth gain from the last five sessions.
