Well there should be a few happy punters on here after a day like that. Sobar has even had to create another award category after KOR smashed the course record .We also had a Carbine Award ,2 outstandings and 8 honorable mentions.
We began the day with 74 nominations by close of acceptances at 9.59am.This required some effort loading these into the barriers ,it took 3 commsec watchlists to get them all set ,thankfully they were well behaved and easy to load.
There were 3 late withdrawals ordered by the stewards including EUR which actually came out last night while connections pen a good reason for its improvement ,they have also signalled a new acquisition on the way which could be the said good reason. CXM and WAF were scratched this morning and won't race again till Thursday when they will both reveal plans for a fund raiser.
On to the awards. Pick of the day by about 25 lengths was KOR which was up over 200% from open to highest fluctuation. Sobar has created the Bart Cummings award for the over 200% gainers so KOR is the inaugural recipient .Its official figures were opened.031 /top fluc .096/closed .075 and its proud trainer is @CHIPPS .Well done, great tipping and hope you made a stack on it. KOR also had the stewards busy ,it was actually ordered off the track at 10.42am to explain its sudden and unexpected form improvement. It was allowed to resume racing at 1.57 pm after connections explained they were in early discussions with people wanting to by their products. Seems there may have been a few whispers around the track this morning about this but sobar wasn't privy to them.
We also had a Carbine award (50-100% gain) for BCT .041/.064/.05 from the @tos stable, well done tos on achieving a major. Hope you exited at the top.

Quite a lengthy report today but as you can see a lot happening. Sobar personally had a red letter day with several long term holds in NMT ,HNR and WIN going beserk and my little speccie STKOA finally coming good. Sobar now off to the cellar to find a specially good bottle of red.
