You are new to trading (or at least newish to HC) and so may I suggest in the nicest way that you focus on working out what you want out of trading and how much time you can allocate to it. I also assume that you have many years ahead of you so be patient and explore what suits your lifestyle and financial objectives.

Many come to trading and quite a reasonable percentage loss money and disappear into the nether. Trading can be both vindictive and alluring at the same time.

It is encouraging that you have started the exploration of whether DT/ST or LT opportunities are best so keep working on that and I would continue to take time to enjoy the wins with your family and also discuss with them when you have a bad loss..it can be cathartic for you.

Thanks Veritas. And, yes, to answer your question in the other thread about sending your files. You have done several months back and it's been very helpful. Thanks! I'm not really in a position to approach trading as a career. I have a full-time career plus a little side-job plus kids, so, trading is something I grab a bunch 10min blocks through the day to do a few days a week, with reading to learn more of an evening. I enjoy learning this whole new world of things I never knew about but am very aware this is not the circumstance that makes a good trader. That's fine. My 13 year old is very keen to learn more (and I have definitely shared the downs with him as well as the ups so he doesn't think this is a goldmine! LOL!)
And your ramblings are welcome any time at all. I appreciate your insights immensely.
