    I mean it depends, if you dont hold stocks for longer than a year (aka daytrading), it doesnt matter since you cant get 50% CGT discount.

    For the 10 or so stocks/ETFs I hold for longer than a year, it takes 5mins to export the data into excel and figure it out with some automatic formulas from my workbook. If you really want a software though, sharesight goes on sale at tax time. Just subscribe then, submit your tax and cancel the subscription. Kinda pointless to have a software like that year round.

    Slightly off-topic, but dont wash sell at FY end. ATO can easy tell. Its a slippery slope tax avoidance, better to just pay the tax-man and move on
