day traders punt on data, page-11

Guys Ive been thinking about todays trading spectacle and have formed a view that someone bought around 5mill shares to punt on the announcement scenario... and when today confirmed before market unusually ..., that such information wasn't forthcoming until later.. even the new year... they got out.

Over the last few days the rally has been hard and on volumes around 10mill yesterday i recall so it may be that aggressive buying by one trader got others involved and shot up the price , When there was a stall.. waiting for the report which didnt arrive as required on flow rates ,,,we thought that was unlikely just yet if you read back a bit...they sold down ..
if you look at the data on trading you may see that they may have made a reasonable profit ,, but the lack of liquidity facing someone in a hurry meant the SP fell hard,,,as it rose the same..
I bought more on weakness today but didnt get the lows ..wish I had .
But theres always tomorrow.
