I didn't bother writing back to the person who quotes me about the tax deduction

there is no case where credit card purchases of shares is tax deduction as interest .

it's different when you take a loan / margin trading out to buy shares.

that is a tax deduction
credit card interest isn't tax deduction

but I'm happy to be proven wrong

I only worked 30+ years in the industry
