    66% pa may not sound world changing, but a mere $100 (one hundred dollars!) compounded at 66% pa for 30 years becomes....

    $400 million.

    $10k becomes some astronomical number. $400 billion I think.

    No money manager or individual trader has ever come close to Simons. And it's all mind-bending statistics. Those guys don't even look at charts - just piles and piles of numbers.

    I'm not saying it's necessary to be smart to get into the 10%, but the biggest winner was a maths genius. David Walsh also comes to mind. Made a squlllion gambling. But his team consisted of PhD mathmaticians.
