At what loss % do experienced traders sell their stock? I have experienced that I have frozen when the stock sometimes drops like a rock. Big short sellers suddenly unloading the highs. Although I tend to sell if my stock drops 3-5%. If for some reason the stock drops 20-30%. And I don’t want to take a loss. I wait for another entry point, and try and buy some more so
to average down. This way I have sometimes sold stock at 7-10% loss, which just wouldn’t bounce back and just want to lay dead. the down side to averaging down is that I tend to hold a larger number of shares which again makes the $ loss pretty much the same. I have loved DT/ST so far, and am learning it everyday .I am earning more than I used to in my 9-5 job. I like working for myself. And before I make a move- I ask and tell myself aloud “What does the chart tell? Trade the chart”.
