Absolutely marvellous day to be on the planet
A positive end to the week looms today after markets snapped a 5 day losing streak overnight.
Futures point 41 north.
The S&P 500 was as much as 1% lower before an afternoon rally saw the index close .3% higher.
The murder of a pro EU British MP may have helped sentiment sway back in favour of the UK remaining in the EU.
The prospect of Britain's voting to leave in the June 23 referendum has been rattling markets.
"We’re seeing a move in the pound rallying off its lows, the Treasuries coming off of their highs and the stocks coming off of their lows because of that," said Lou Brien, market strategist at DRW Trading in Chicago. "People are anticipating that this could be one of those things that turns a vote back in favour of remaining." 1

Gold futures are selling off Thursday afternoon, due to rumours that the Brexit Referendum vote could be postponed after the death of a high-level politician.
The selloff started as news circulated that U.K. Member of Parliament, Jo Cox was killed after being shot at least twice following a meeting with her constituents.
