    Fortescue executive Peter Meurs quits for Mormon church role


    An executive director on the board of Fortescue Metals Group, Peter Meurs, has resigned from Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest’s iron ore miner for a fulltime, international role with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon church.
    Mr Meurs, who was also director of development, had been with the Pilbara-based miner since 2010, having previously been boss at contracting giant WorleyParsons.
