    Secondlevel,
The shorter the intended time frame of the investment the greater the risk relative to the return. Yes sometimes a trade can happen in a day or over a few days but the best profits come from longer investment time frames. Taking small percentages each day requires a very high strike rate if a mistake is made to cover the loss. Longer time frames normally generate higher returns, so more room for errors & still able to make a profit. It is important to develop a trading style that is best suited to your skills. Unfortunately many Daytraders don't realize they need greater skills than the traders who take longer time frames for their investments. Time can be very forgiving if you have done your research.
