    I don't think it's the same for everyone.

    Westpac will let you use sale funds without T2 wait but you have to qualify.
    If you are making money or not losing a lot, you'll be fine. If you're making loses they'll limit what you can use.
    % of sale or none at all until funds are cleared. Etc.

    Other brokers probably have some other criteria also.
