Overnight round-up and day ahead: "ASX Today: CBA earnings to set tone after Wall Street rises"
Breakfast
Today is Independence Day in Chad, a former French colony in north-central Africa. Its 16 million inhabitants have the ill fortune to live in one of the poorest and most corrupt countries on the planet. Civil wars have been frequent and it is considered a failed state. Millet is the staple food for much of the population. We're serving La Bouillie, a type of porridge with a nutty taste and a "buttermilk tang" according to the photographer.
