Today is the Liberation Day public holiday in South Korea, marking Japan's surrender in the Second World War and an end to 35 years of occupation. This morning's breakfast might look like a plain old scrambled egg toasted sandwich, but Gaeran Tostu-u has an Asian twist. Ingredients in the South Korean version include cabbage, carrots, onion and a "dusting of brown sugar".
