Today is Gai Jatra in Nepal, an annual festival celebrated mainly in the Kathmandu valley. The day involves processions, dressing up and feasting. Kathmandu is a great place for street food. Breakfast staples include malpuwa (sweet cakes), gwaramari (round breads) and sel roti (rings of sweet rice bread).
