It's Groundhog Day. Fans of the movie will know the North American event has something to do with a large rodent emerging from his burrow and seeing its shadow - or not. And that means six more weeks of winter - or not. Apparently it's a Dutch superstition imported into Pennsylvania by migrants. It took root in Punxsutawney, but has since spread to other cities in the US and Canada. As well as Punxsutawney Phil, there is Shubenacadie Sam, Greatneck Greta, Woodstock Willie, Balzac Billy and a dozen more. Since the day is all about winter, here's a seasonally-appropriate Canadian breakfast view. Brrr.
