Get out the frying pan and hide the scales: we're going full Irish. A considerable amount of overlap exists between a "Full English", "Full Scottish" and a "Full Irish" - the frying pan is the common denominator. The original idea was to fortify working folk for a full day's manual labour, possibly in the fields, at a time when their next hot meal would be when they came home at night. The modern version of a Full Irish normally starts with bacon, sausage and egg. Additions include tomato, mushrooms, blood puddings (white/black), baked beans and potatoes in some form. Soda bread is distinctively Irish. Milky tea is pretty much compulsory.
