Where were we? Texas. We're serving a kind of fusion food this morning, but none of that fru fru northern nonsense. These are Chicken Fried Bacon strips. The name is slightly misleading - no chickens are killed in the making of these strips. Rather the name refers to the cooking technique. One day a dude called Frank Sodolak was dipping chicken wings in a batter for frying and thought, "Hey! I wonder what else I could dip in this and fry?" That was it. He serves them at his inn with dipping sauces. One Reddit poster compared trying these to moving from cocaine to crack. Dangerous.
