    The answer is.... you are missing something. Pre-market quotes significantly above or significantly below the last traded price are almost always just "window dressing" , often by brokers. Its only meaningful if the the netted out "match price" at market open ( which should be indicated on your trading platform) is appreciably different from the last traded price.
