I know it’s one day at a time, but with US PPI out tonight and the all important US CPI out tomorrow night , both at 10.30pm AEST, I’d be interested if you had any thoughts.
It seems to me with the price of oil elevated most of April and grocery and housing costs remaining belligerently high during April, that the PPI and particularly the CPI reports will disappoint markets with high and possibly rising headline inflation. Core figures with fuel stripped out may be kinder. I can’t see that US inflation could fall during April.
It’ll be back down by the fire station greased pole if this plays out imo.
