Canadians,God bless them, get a day off today to celebrate the birth of Queen Victoria. Yes, the one who died in 1901. The event used to be called 'Empire Day', then became 'Commonwealth Day', then Commonwealth Day moved to March and today turned into 'Victoria Day'. Got that? To further muddy matters, Quebec celebrates something else altogether today: a rebellion against the Brits in 1837. Let's move on.
