For those interested in getting set in Silver, there are very few companies to choose from. Here are a selection of the Developers who have Australian based resources.

    How to read the chart?

The amount you pay for each ounce of Silver (Ag) or Silver Equivalent (AgEq all metal) based on today's share price is shown for each company. The total MRE of both Ag and AgEq is also shown, in the silver and blue bars respectively.

For Example, if you pay 22c per share today for Boab Metals (BML) you are paying the equivalent of $0.48 AUD per ounce of Ag or $0.08 per ounce of Ag Eq. Boab Metals is the most de-risked and on target to be the first to start mining. It is a Lead/SILVER/Zinc miner, and with its first project Sorby Hills the economics are exceptional. The Lead pays all the mining costs (Capex and Opex), which means all the SILVER is mined for free.

Silver Mines SVL is a market favourite and has the biggest resource of Ag, and a great name. It is more expensive per Ag ounce at $1.30 and at $0.76 per AgEq, though relatively advanced it is behind BML in development and needs a materially higher silver price to start mining.

Maronan MMA, and Red Metals RDM which holds 50% of MMA, has an early development deposit in the Cannington area in Queensland, an exciting prospect, and a long time away from mining. It's Lead and Zinc content add to the potentially favourable economics. RDM provides the cheapest entry point per ounce of Ag and AgEq at $0.06 and $0.20 respectively.

IVR is a market favourite and normally responds quite well to silver price rises. Because it is silver primarily, it needs a much higher Ag price to start mining.

There are also MKR - which is technically a producer, that's worth a look and TMZ which was spun out of SVL and has some interesting prospects.
