@hanson_91, I use Twitter (X) as a resource for research but I don't post there at all. It's the best resource I know for getting info as soon as it hits the market, so I certainly recommend people use it. Obvious sources to follow include Bloomberg Markets, Breaking Market News, First Squawk, LiveSquawk, perhaps CommSec. (I'm sure there are others people could recommend?)
Second question: I find this a very challenging market. Has been so for around 18 months since interest rate hikes were first mooted, then enacted. Basically, there seem to be much fewer opportunities due to poor participation and sentiment. It's not impossible to make money but it's much harder. I've been trading for 20 years and the only time I can recall things being this tough was 2008/09 and that came and went quicker than this. The key is to keep adapting to changing conditions, but it's a grind right now.
