Helps to understand that society's rules of 'decent behaviour' are not followed by many players in financial mkts. Assume the pros are out to take your money by whatever means they can. Deception, misleading and obscure actions, and insider-trading are all 'legitimate' behaviour to these people.

An interesting recent finding is that finance, law, sales, as well as many senior exec positions, are areas with higher than normal incidence of psychopathy/narcissism among participants.
