    "If you buy one day and sell two days later you still have to pay for the shares, its just that you get the sale credited the next day."

    I think this varies with different trading brokers.

    You would only have to pay the balance of the the Buy/Sell transaction. ie Profit - no payment

    Traders that can't cover the initial purchase payment have no choice but to sell to reduce the actual payment.
