Somewhere I read that it takes putting some losses under your belt before you can develop as a trader but I don't think anyone else in the world can have taken the losses in as grandly dumb a a style as I did. It was my first and only stock and it got me into day trading in the first place and I got it down from $1.20 to 36c Then when it crashed I booked a $56000 loss on LYC out of emotion and hate and fear. If i had just held on for a few short months I'd be so far in front that it makes a mockery of all my little trading successes in those months.
The lesson seems to be that if it's a bad loss just put it in the cupboard? even for years?
*wry laugh* thought I'd publicise this depressing story for the benefit of other greenhorns.
Meanwhile selling and trading with the proceeds has reduced the paper loss to half and the portfolio is currently showing that if i quit everything i'd be a fair way in front.. so obviously I have learnt something.
    but gee............
