    AGS gets the green light
ALLIANCE Resources' Four Mile deposit in South Australia has been given the green light by Environment Minister Peter Garrett.

It is only the third uranium mine approved in 20 years.

The junior holds 25 per cent of the project in partnership with Adelaide-based explorer Quasar, an arm of US-based General Atomics.

Last month, Alliance Resources said its deposit had nearly doubled to 28,000 tonnes of contained uranium oxide.

It claims it is the largest Australian uranium discovery in 25 years.
