poppi, if its any consolation last year I bought many shares among which some that I remember were FMS, MNM, MAK, RWD etc. I still hold some of them and their value are now 70-80% of what I bought them for early last year. I'm still holding on to some of them because they are not worth much now anyway.
I've learned a lot since then from my earlier mistakes, here and also from other sources. Taking losses is always hard but sometimes u need to do it if u can get it back at a lower price. I usually take a 5% loss but it varies with diff stocks according to their risks.
Some stocks I trade several times a day and others I hold for a week atmost. I usually hold those that I see could rise soon or those that haven't reached its peak yet. There is always risks with holding overnight like what happened today with ABY ... gap down on me.
